Bombs Showered on Gaza and the World remains Quiet?

Why not call this “Palestine’s 9/11″? Why not pressure Israel the same way, Pakistan was pressured, despite concrete evidence, after Mumbai attacks? Is it because Israel is a land backed by U.S. and most likely other powerful countries? We need a strong uproar from the politicians against this outrage.

Palestinian women and children flee an area hit by an Israeli air strike

Everyone is totally aware of the illegal occupation of Palestine by Israel. If you are new to this concept, do some readings on Google. If you live in the GTA, don’t miss out Dr. Norman Finkelstein’s speech at UTM. Dr. Finkelstein is one of the most outspoken speakers about illegal occuption of Israel. Yes, he is American. Yes, he is a son of holocaust survivors. But, he still realizes the unjust attitude of Israel towards Palestine.

Facing up to the Jewish Lobby of the United States that includes the ADL, Rabbi Singer, etc…Finkelstein wrote in anger of how the memories of the Nazi Holocaust, along with its 6 million victims, were being commercially and strategically exploited for the justification of Israeli policy in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. He presented this thesis prominently in The Holocaust Industry, forever solidifying his fierce and confrontational styled polemic.

This event is taking place at UTM, as part of UTM Ministry of Social Justice. Here are locations and address:

Read the testimony of the people of Palestine here.Majed Badra, 23, Gaza City, cartoonist and student at the Islamic University

“Unfortunately the situation is very bad in Gaza city – the Israeli occupation is striking more and more organisations, more houses and the mosque, and my university was hit last night.

They focus on the civilians. It is easy for them.

Nothing is working in Gaza and we don’t do anything. We stay inside the house, my family and I. Every family in Gaza is doing the same.

We are used to hearing these airstrikes, everybody here is used to it and we don’t have any way to protect ourselves. We just stay inside the home, hearing the news, hearing where the Israeli [army] strikes, hearing the F16s and Apaches and waiting to see what will happen.

We were not prepared for the war. They attack civilians and children and don’t care if we are armed or not.

“The world looks at unarmed Palestinian people as though they are a nation with an army, as though we are equal to the Israelis … but this is not true”

Majed, Gaza City

The world looks at unarmed Palestinian people as though they are a nation with an army, as though we are equal to the Israelis. They think we have real rockets that cause a lot of damage or have a big effect, but this is not true.

The reality is that we don’t have anything and they have struck everything in Gaza.

I have exams coming soon in my university and I want to study but I can’t in this situation. So they affect my future, the future of all students here.

Why does the Israeli army strike my university and mosques and houses? I don’t know the answer. You have to ask them.

The coming days will be very bad. There will be more and more deaths.”

Yesterday, my sister’s house was damaged in a strike on a target nearby. Every room was damaged except for the kitchen, where she and the children were. Allah kept them alive.

According to Amnesty International,

“The horrific death toll risks growing due to the unavailability of adequate medical care for the hundreds of injured. The health sector in Gaza lacks equipment, medicine and expertise at the best of times and has been further depleted due to the prolonged Israeli blockade. It is now completely overwhelmed and unable to cope with the large number of casualties,” said Amnesty International.”

So, how do we act? What can we do?

1-Sign a petition with Avaaz and spread the word about the petition.

2-Donate: Palestinians are running out of bread and people are hungry. Here are some organizations that are collecting donations for Palestine.

A-Islamic Relief

B-IRFAN Canada

C-Avaaz

3-Write to your local M.P. We must fully understand that innocent casualties are on both sides, Israel and Palestine. This matter needs to be justly dealth with at the political level. They have to reach a ceasefire and negotiations that are acceptable on both sides. A lot of policies in place, favour Israel tremendously. This has got to stop. Pressure your politician to pursue this point.

4-Attend a rally organized locally.

5-Spread the word.

6-If you can’t do any of these things, due to circumstances, then kindly make a heartfelt prayer for innocent victims and potential victims of this conflict.

Let us all hope that this conflict ends soon. Amin!

So, Who Really is behind the Mumbai Attacks?

When I heard about the Mumbai attacks, I got worried. I have some really good friends who have ties in India. My first thought was if my friends are ok or not. And thank God, they weren’t there when this happened.

As soon as I was able to think rationally again, several questions circulated in my brain. My real concern was who really is behind these attacks. The media is pointing to Pakistan but is Pakistan government really involved? If yes, are they acting on their own are under someone else’s attacks. So, here I have jotted down some questions and some answers.

Q 1) Why would Pakistan attack India? They wanted to open a peaceful debate on the Kashmir issue. And they were looking forward to it. Secondly, Pakistan is under siege by America and is not faring well. If I were to look for motives, Pakistan has the least motives for carrying out such an attack.

Q 2) Would India bomb its own people? What benefit would they derive from it? Do they want to start a war with Pakistan? Perhaps not. I do not have sufficient knowledge to pinpoint any motives India might have to wage a war against Pakistan. Yes, they are not on great terms but still there is hope for peace between the two countries.

Q 3) What about America? Well, America has the biggest motives and would most likely derive most benefits from this massacre.

Kindly read this article.

The Mumbai terror attacks were part of a carefully planned and coordinated operation involving several teams of experienced and trained gunmen.

The operation has the fingerprints of a paramilitary-intelligence operation. According to a Russian counter terrorist expert, the Mumbai terrorists “used the same tactics that Chechen field militants employed in the Northern Caucasus attacks where entire towns were terrorized, with homes and hospitals seized”. (Russia Today, November 27, 2008).

The Mumbai attacks are described as ” India’s 9/11″.

The attacks were carried out simultaneously in several locations, within minutes of each other.

The first target was in the main hall of Mumbai’s Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus railway station (CST), where the gunmen fired indiscriminately into the crowd of passengers. The gunmen ” then ran out of the station and into neighboring buildings, including Cama Hospital”

Attacks by separate groups of gunmen took place at two of Mumbai’s luxury hotels – the Oberoi-Trident and the Taj Mahal Palace, located at the heart of the tourist area, within proximity of the Gateway of India.

The gunmen also opened fire at Café Leopold, a stylish restaurant in the tourist area. The third target was Nariman House, a business center which houses Chabad Lubavitch, Mumbai’s Jewish Center. Six hostages including the Rabbi and his wife were killed.

The domestic airport at Santa Cruz; the Metro Adlabs multiplex and the Mazgaon Dockyard were also targeted.

“The attacks occurred at the busiest places. Besides hotels and hospitals, terrorists struck at railway stations, Crawford Market, Wadi Bunder and on the Western Express Highway near the airport. Seven places have been attacked with automatic weapons and grenades.(Times of India, 26 November 2008),

Indian troops surrounded the hotels. Indian Special Forces commandos were sent into the two hotels to confront the terrorists. Witnesses at the hotels said that the gunmen were singling out people with US and British passports.

This article raises several points such as:

1) These attacks were carried out by several teams of trained and expert gunmen.
2) The operation looked like a paramilitary operation
3) It has been described internationally as India’s 9/11. Hence, there has been a clear effort by the media to establish a connection between this sad event and 9/11
4) According to witnesses at the hotels, the gunmen were trying to sort out people with British and US passports. (Yes, most of the causalities were Indian locals but they were mostly killed at the train station. Inside the hotels a different story enfolded. Perhaps indiscriminate shooting of the Indian locals was just a booby trap, so that people would think that the Indian citizens were the real target)
5) With 9/11, Osama, was blamed, someone who was virtually unknown to the world until 9/11. This time a distant group “The Deccan Mujahideen” are being blamed. And again, we are TOLD that they are linked to Al-Qaeda, without being presented with ANY credible evidence. Again the finger is pointed to an illusory “outside enemy” and its location is determined, this time in Pakistan and not Iraq. This sounds VERY fishy to me. This article points out that another group that is linked with this is Lashker-e-Taliban and it has reported ties with ISI, (a CIA like body operating in Pakistan)
6) The oxymoron “Islamicist terrorist” is still being used.
7) The media has widely publicized these attacks and official US reports have identified this attack as part of a broader plan to wage terrorist attacks on US soil.

Immediately following the Mumbai attacks, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg put New York City’s subway system “on high alert”

8) Just like the Iraq war, the media is beating the drum and pointing fingers towards ISI, Inter Services Intelligence of Pakistan. What the media doesn’t tell us is that ISI does not consent without CIA’s prior approval. Historically speaking, Al-Qaeda was supported financially and militarily by CIA using ISI as an intermediate.

9) US is illegally attacking Pakistan’s tribal areas and North Western Frontier Province. To ensure these attacks continue, US pressured to get rid of the previous Lt. General of ISI and replace him with a Lt. General of their choice, namely, Lt. General Ahmed Shuja Pasha. This also allowed Washingon D.C. to block pressure by PPP (a major Pakistani political party) to place ISI under civilian authority.

So, now the question is why would the US be interested in coordinating attacks inside India and then bringing Pakistan and Muslims under fire about this all?

Well, for what other reason then to justify this sham war on terror and to continue their presence inside Pakistan. Remember that all the food and military supply that is going inside Afghanistan has to pass through Pakistan. Without Pakistan’s assistance, the Afghanistan war and consequent Iraq war is not possible.  And, one must not forget that Pakistan was coerced and forced into yielding for assistance according to the book written by ex-Pakistani President Musharraf. So this FAKE ally in this FAKE war is terror in actually just another VICTIM of this war.

What can we, citizens of this planet, do about this?

Well, don’t fall for this booby trap war on terror. PERIOD. Do not back anyone who backs this war and continue opposing it. Do not back anyone who wants to start a war to justify this particular sham war on terror. Oppose and resist these lies fully. I would also invite all world leaders and politicians to think rationally about peace discussions without backing up any kind of war, esp. this sham war on terror.

Also, do recognize and understand the fact that terrorism has absolutely nothing to do with Islam. Muslim scholars throughout the world have condemned and will continue to condemn any sort of attack on innocent people or any kind of terrorism. Although the media is trying its best to portay orthodox islam as being reflected by the ideology promoted by Osama Bin Laden, the truth is far from different. Islam is moderate in nature. Anyone who sincerely practices Islam and has done appropriate readings will tell you that. Before you judge this faith, kindly read and research properly and make sure to choose the right books with correct sources. Why not start with a copy of the Quran?  Doesn’t the Quran (Chapter 5, Verse  32) strictly mention that whoever killed one innocent human its as if he/she has killed the entire humanity  and whoever saves a life, its as if he/she has saved the entire humanity.

State Sponsored Kidnapping in Pakistan

Kindly watch these videos and spread the word. Kindly do not associate Islam with terrorism. I know for sure that Islam has nothing to do with terrorism. I have done thorough readings to reach this conclusion.

Its funny they call U.S., a Human Rights World Leader. Since, when? A country that supports foreign dictatorship, is NOT a Human Rights World Leader. Its just a hypocritical, broken, messy country. That’s it. PERIOD. Like, one person in this video said “I am waiting for the power of the powerless” and from personal experience, I must comment “That time will come soon, inshaAllah (God willing)”

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Amina Masood Janjua has been fighting for some word on the fate of her husband since he vanished from a bus station here in July 2005.

In recent months, she and her two teenage sons and 11-year-old daughter have begun a campaign of court petitions, protests and news releases.

More than 30 families of other missing men have joined her, all seeking to locate what they and human rights groups say are hundreds of people who have disappeared into the hands of the country’s feared intelligence agencies in the last few years.

The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, an independent group, estimates that 400 citizens have been abducted and been detained across the country since 2001. Amnesty International says many have been swept up in a campaign against people suspected of being extremists and terrorists. But some here also charge that the government is using the pretext of the war on terror to crack down on political opponents.

In addition to some with ties to extremist groups, those missing include critics of the government, nationalists, journalists, scientists, researchers, and social and political workers, the groups say. Janjua says she has compiled a list of 115 missing persons and believes the list could grow as more families gain the courage to come out in the open.
