Flood in Pakistan

1,700 DEAD, 1 million homes destroyed, 20 million people affected.

Heavy rains have triggered floods in several parts of the country; this is the highest record rainfall in living memory. Human Appeal International is on the ground distributing vital aid.

Flood in China

According to an article Guardian Co.UK, over 130 dead and 800,000 displaced after torrential rain sees rivers swell and houses hit by landslides. The article stated that the worst destruction took place in Zhouqu in Gansu province which was inundated by muddy water and debris when heavy rains caused the Bailong River to overflow.

These people have no shame. Arresting a lady activist like this! What has happened to this world.

Aung San Suu Kyi, Burma’s pro-democracy leader and Nobel Peace laureate, symbolises the struggle of Burma’s people to be free. She is currently detained by Burma’s brutal regime in Rangoon, Burma. She has been under arrest for over 14 years.
